In defense of Wal-Mart
The most interesting fact that emerges from the article is that Wal-Mart has stepped up it's political giving. So far the company ranks #2 for the 2004 election cycle. They were #71 in 2002 and didn't make the top 100 in 2000.
Also, their advertising agency is headquartered in Austin.
